The 2018 VW Tiguan comes with a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is sole option for the US-spec version. This engine can deliver 200 hp and 207 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed via six-speed auto transmission to standard front-wheel drive while all-wheel drive comes optionally.

The fuel economy of this model is estimated at 20 mpg in city and 24 mpg highway for both drive configurations. With front-wheel drive it needs 7.5 seconds to reach 60 mph.

Trims, Features:

The model can accommodate five passengers and can be configured in four trim levels including S, Wolfsburg, Sport and SEL.

Standard are 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, heated mirrors, keyless entry and ignition and also tilt and telescopic steering wheel, heated front seats, premium vinyl upholstery and more. It also includes standard 6.3 inch center screen, Smartphone compatibility, an 8-speaker sound system, satellite and HD radio, etc.

Next trim level adds 17-inch wheels, power adjustable driver seat with power lumbar, roof rails, sunroof, emergency communication services, etc. On the Sport trim it comes with 18-inch wheels, fog lights, adaptive headlights, LED DRLs, dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, sports suspension, navigation, etc. Top trim includes 19-inch wheels upgraded safety and sound system.
