2018 Toyota 4Runner is among the top sports utility vehicles launched by the Toyota. This company decided to introduce this generation of the vehicle in 2009. 2018 Toyota 4Runner: Changes, Features and Specs
For an upcoming model year Toyota expending the offer with two new trims for its truck-based SUV. New off-road oriented trims are TRD Off-road and TRD off-road Premium and they bring some off-road features, style elements and other improvements.
New 2018 Toyota 4Runner trims will get TRD off-road badges positioned on the C-pillar and inside, floor mats will also be signed with TRD off-road logo. Both new trims will ride on concave seven-spoke alloys and TRD stitching will adorn headrests.
What is more important for these off-road beats, they will include standard Toyota’s Multi terrain System which offers modes that driver can select in order to adjust car’s parameters according to road conditions. There is also rear locking differential and crawl Control while optionally Kinetic Dynamic Suspension system can be had.
Aside from new trims, the currently available TRD Pro trim will get new Cement paint color, 17-inch matte black wheels, Blistein Shocks and specially tuned front springs.
With two new trims, 2018 4Runer will be available with total of six trims which in addition to two new ones also include SR5, SR5 Premium, Limited and TRD Pro.
2018 Toyota 4Runner: Performance
New 2018 Toyota 4Runner will get a familiar V-6 base engine having 4.0 liters fuel capacity. This base engine will generate 270 hp and 278 lb-ft torque. On the other hand, this engine is combined with 5-speed automatic transmission. Rear wheel drive and optional four-wheel drive will be available on SR5 and Limited trims while others are 4WD only. The towing capacity of this SUV will be around 5,000 pounds.
The 2018 Toyota 4Runner will be available in the second half of this year. Price range for all versions including two new trims will be known closer to launch.
