2018 Porsche Cayenne: Styling, Changes
The 2018 Porsche Cayenne continues with familiar proportions and sheet metal while Platinum editions include some unique features. Substantial changes will happen for the new generation model which will sit on the new platform and it will get revised styling.
As for Platinum versions it adds new 20 inch wheels with RS Spider design, exterior elements finished in gloss black while inside it gains an eight-way power sports seats, Alcantara trim, unique door sills and logos embossed on the head rests.
An upgraded infotainment system is standard across the range and it includes a 7-inch touch screen, voice activation, navigation, etc. Navigation has integrated features like Google Earth and Streetview and also covers real time traffic features. Connect Plus Package adds smartphone integration.
The model is available in eight trims and there it can be configured according to your needs. Tilt and telescopic steering wheel, dual zone climate control, power mirrors, 10-speaker sound system, 7-inch screen, HD radio and more are standard futures. It also can be had with wheel designs ranging from 18-21 inches. Upgrades on higher trims include heated and ventilated power adjustable front seats, leather upholstery, more speakers, four zone climate control, unique styling elements, and much more.
It also offers drivetrain upgrades like electronic locking rear differential, torque vectoring, carbon ceramic brakes, air suspension and adaptive shocks, etc.
On the safety front it comes with aids like rearview camera, surround view system, lane departure warning, blind-zone monitoring, adaptive cruise control with a forward collision mitigation and emergency braking, etc.
2018 Porsche Cayenne: Powertrains
Performance hardware includes standard eight-speed transmission, all-wheel drive system available in three configurations, and V-6, V-8 and Hybrid powertrains.
A base engine is a 3.6 liter V-6 that makes 300 hp and torque of 295 pound-feet. A turbocharged 3.6 liter V-6 under the hood of the S version produces 420 hp. The version on the GTS model can yield 440 hp.
Next level performance comes on the Turbo versions with a turbocharged 4.8 liter V-8. The Cayenne Turbo can deliver 520 hp while the Turbo S can make 570 hp.
On the 2018 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid version, the Cayenne combines a 3.0 liter supercharged V-6 and electric motor which together can produce 416 hp and torque of 435 lb-ft. All electric range is 14 miles while combined it covers 22 miles per gallon.

The 2018 Porsche Cayenne is already on sale. The base models goes for $60, 650. The S E-Hybrid is available for $79, 750 while top of the line Turbo S is priced at $160, 650.
