The 2018 Jeep Wrangler comes with some prominent highlights like there is a fun to drive character, different and unique styling, and go anywhere ability. The Wrangler has two body styles the two-door Wrangler and four-door version Wrangler Unlimited. Standard on both versions is soft top and hard top is optional. Available trims are Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon.

As standard equipment it offers 16 inch wheels, removable doors, fold-down windshield, cloth upholstery, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning, eight speaker sound system, satellite radio, etc.

Standard off-road equipment includes transfer case and fuel tank skied plates, hill start assist, tow hooks, part time all-wheel drive, etc.

The Sport S version adds 17-inch wheels, leather covered steering wheel, air conditioning.

Sahara trimmed versions ride on 18 inch wheels and also has LED headlights and fog lights, heated mirrors, power windows, side steps, remote keyless entry, etc.

The Rubicon features upgraded off-road hardware that includes heavy-duty Dana front axles, locking front and rear differential, 4.10:1 rear axle ratio, 17-inch alloy wheels, 32 inch off-road tires, disconnecting sway bar, etc.

There are also additional packages and groups and some stand-alone options. Mentioned Cold Weather package offers heated seats, remote start and all-weather floor mats.

2018 Jeep Wrangler: Powertrain

Powering the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be familiar 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 engine. It can deliver 286 hp and 260 pound feet of torque. Standard is all wheel drive system with high and low range gearing.  The Rubicon features an updated transfer case, specially tuned short gearing and crawl ratio.

There are two transmission options. Standard is a six-speed manual with hill start assist while optional five speed automatic transmission comes with hill descant and start control.

The fuel economy is rated at 18 mpg combined and towing maximum is 3, 500 pounds.

There are some reports, which suggest that 2018 Wrangler will offer diesel engine option and new transmission.


The 2018 Jeep Wrangler off-road winner vehicle will have starting price of around $24, 000 while the most capable Rubicon versions will reach $37, 500.
