2018 Jeep Wrangler: Powertrain
Powering the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be familiar 3.6 liter Pentastar V-6 engine. It can deliver 286 hp and 260 pound feet of torque. Standard is all wheel drive system with high and low range gearing. The Rubicon features an updated transfer case, specially tuned short gearing and crawl ratio.
There are two transmission options. Standard is a six-speed manual with hill start assist while optional five speed automatic transmission comes with hill descant and start control.
The fuel economy is rated at 18 mpg combined and towing maximum is 3, 500 pounds.
